From 17–20 September, Siegfried Contemporary presents SPOTLIGHT: GLAS, PLEXI, bringing Paola Petrobelli’s newest Venetian glass works to London alongside the newly published GLAS, PLEXI book. One London Design Festival stop for glass, books, and a final chance to see Ann Iren Buan’s acclaimed London debut.
Petrobelli has previously exhibited at Triennale Milano; her work has been highlighted by The New York Times and selected by Wallpaper as a Design Miami/Basel must-see. For this new project, she works with master Venetian glassmakers to create modular objects in glass and Plexiglas that can be taken apart and recomposed.
Published by CASA YALI in a limited edition of 500, the accompanying book brings together Petrobelli’s objects, working processes and research, with contributions by curator Marina Marques and design curator and writer Libby Sellers. It is also available through the renowned Paris art bookshop Yvon Lambert.

For London Design Festival, the works extend from Siegfried Contemporary’s Art and Design Salon into the adjoining Notting Hill townhouse, allowing visitors to experience them in a domestic setting. The same visit offers a final opportunity to see the current exhibition Carmine Ashes, Ann Iren Buan’s first solo exhibition in the UK, on view until 25 September.
